Had an awesome last week, spending time reconnecting with an old friend, Ms. Ruby Simpson of Simpson Commercial Properties. Ruby serves on the Board of Crew-IE (Commercial Real Estate Women's Networking Association,  Inland Empire,) among the many other organizations she belongs to. I love her positive infectious attitude, her love for life itself and listening to her share her many life experiences. So glad we took the time to reconnect!

Off to spend the morning with my good friend and mentor, Marion Proffitt, Broker and Real Estate Agent with ERA Prime Properties in Chino Hills. Marion has invited me to a CineMeeting. It is a meeting at the Ontario Mills Movie Theater. What an interesting venue for a meeting! It has been a long time since I have visited the Queen Mary and what a great venue it was for yesterday's MPI SCC Educational Conference!  What a beautiful ship!   Heard from other meeting planners in the industry as well as fellow Hoteliers & suppliers on how we can strengthen our working relationships.  Learned tips on what to look for in a contract and Strategic Meeting Mgmt.  Day ended with a great tradeshow where I met some great hotel & supplier connections! A big thank you to my fellow MPI members who made yesterday's educational conference a huge success!

Had a great time at the AirCargo 2011 Conference.  The Women In Cargo Wine Tasting Networking Reception was a huge success! It was inspiring to see so many Women In Cargo come together with such synergy and passion for what they do in the Air Cargo industry.

Today is the kick-off day of the AirCargo 2011 Conference!  This year's theme is "A World of Opportunity - Asia."  We are so excited to be a part of this amazing event that is expected to bring over 700 attendees and exhibitors.  This evening, we are looking forward to our signature event  that we have spent the last 3 months planning, The Women In Cargo, Wine Tasting/Networking Reception.  Guest panel speakers, Millie Takeuse, VP/GM of ANA Airlines; Michelle Mallin, VP of Corporate Training, Forward Air; Marie Buetow, Manager, Strategic Partners, Delta Air Cargo.  Panel discussion on how to break through cultural barriers as a woman doing business in a global marketplace.  It is going to be an amazing event!
